A Simplified Intelligent Autonomous Obstacle Bypassing Method for Mobile Robots - Mobicom2023
This demonstration focuses on the development of an autonomous robot designed to navigate around obstacles using only a camera for sensing. The robot is programmed to follow a predefined path through a line-following module while utilizing a custom object detection model to identify and distinguish obstacles on its route from other environmental objects. When the robot detects an obstacle, it employs an obstacle avoidance maneuver by adjusting its steering to navigate smoothly around the impediment.
