A Simplified Intelligent Autonomous Obstacle Bypassing Method for Mobile Robots

Our new demo in Mobicom2023 is about creating a robot that can navigate around obstacles all on its own, just by using a camera to see. The robot follows a set path by following a line, and it has a special system that helps it spot obstacles like rocks or objects in its way. When it sees an obstacle, it figures out how to go around it by changing its direction, so it can keep moving without any interruptions.

Demo: Codesign of Edge Intelligence and Automated Guided Vehicle Control

Our first demo paper is accepted for Precom2023. It is a demonstration of a semi-autonomous transportation task aided by edge intelligence, which consists of a robotic platform, automated guided vehicle, and edge server with the access to a remote camera.
